Tutoring at Dominican Literacy Center

Volunteer tutors are at the heart of the Dominican Literacy Center. After attending an Orientation or the Tutor Training Workshop, tutors are matched with an adult learner whose interests and schedule are compatible. To be certified in the Laubach method a volunteer attends the Tutor Training Workshop in February, May, or October.  This workshop is required for all tutors.

Tutoring is offered on site at the Dominican Literacy Center Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Tutors give two hours a week to a student. Materials are easy to follow and assistance is available for tutors from the staff.

With Mrs. Kimberly Williams, every first Saturday of each month!
